Join the movement to bring true freedom to
North Korean People
Caleb Mission has helped rescue 1,026 North Korean defectors for the past 24 years in the name of Jesus.
Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. - Matthew, 5:16
Caleb Mission is an international non-profit organization that is headquartered in Cheonan, South Korea, and the United States.
The org and its founder and president, Pastor Seungeun Kim, were featured in the 2023 Oscar short-listed documentary Beyond Utopia. The groundbreaking film showcases the underground network that is freeing North Korean defectors from a life of torture, abuse, and imprisonment.
Caleb Mission aims to improve the human rights of defectors by documenting abuses, advocating for refugees, and enabling survivor-driven advocacy through the North Korean Community Center in Cheonan.
Caleb Mission has also gathered numerous stories of horrific human rights abuses in and just outside of North Korea; public executions there are the norm, and many suffer famine, poverty, and fear of being imprisoned in labor camps, often meeting death. In addition, even when North Korean defectors cross the border into China, they are inundated with threats of repatriation back to the DPRK, as well as by attacks from the insidious human trafficking network that has grown at the border between China and North Korea.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves or for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
- Proverbs, 31:8-9
