🎙️ Pastor Seungeun Kim:

Hallelujah! I pray that the peace of God will be with all of you. Today, I would like to share a special newsletter update and introduce one of Caleb Mission’s family members in the United States, Grace Lee.

🌿 Grace Lee:

Hello! My name is Grace, and I support Caleb Mission from the United States.

🎙️ Pastor Seungeun Kim:

How did you first learn about Caleb Mission?

🌿 Grace Lee:

About two years ago, while preparing to climb Mount Everest, I watched the documentary Beyond Utopia. As I watched, Pastor Kim’s ministry deeply touched my heart.

My parents were born in North Korea and fled to South Korea during the Korean War. When my mother was a young child, probably around five or six years old, she escaped by walking at night to avoid the soldiers. I grew up hearing those stories from her.

Because of that, whenever I climb mountains, I often think about her journey. So when I saw Pastor Kim crossing mountains with North Korean escapees to help rescue them, it deeply moved me in a very personal way.

🎙️ Pastor Seungeun Kim:

This newsletter will be released on June 2nd. Where will you be at that time?

🌿 Grace Lee:

I will be traveling to Russia. One of my long-time dreams has been to climb the highest mountain on each continent, and the final mountain on my list is in Russia. So I will be leaving for Russia on June 2nd.

🎙️ Pastor Seungeun Kim:

As you climb this mountain, I’m sure you are carrying prayer requests in your heart. What are you praying for during this journey?

🌿 Grace Lee:

When I was young, we often sang a song in Korea called “Our Wish Is Reunification.” We may not fully understand God’s plans, but my prayer is that through Pastor Kim’s ministry, North Korean escapees would be rescued, people would come to know God, and one day, when Korea is reunited, the people of North Korea would also hear the Gospel.

If climbing mountains and enduring hardship can help bring more attention to Caleb Mission’s rescue ministry and the campaign to raise 7,000 monthly donors giving $12 a month—so that more lives can be saved and more people can hear the Gospel—then I am willing to run any distance and climb any mountain. I deeply desire for God’s name to be known among the people of North Korea and for them to receive true hope.

I pray that more people will join this life-saving mission. Please help us spread the word and share this video. We would truly love for you to become a partner in this mission.

🎙️ Pastor Seungeun Kim:

Just as God told Elijah that He had preserved 7,000 people who had not bowed their knees to Baal, we are also praying for and raising up 7,000 prayer warriors and monthly supporters for North Korea.

If 7,000 monthly donors join this mission, we will be able to rescue four North Korean escapees every month and share the Gospel with them. Grace is climbing this mountain while carrying this prayer request in her heart, and we are deeply thankful for her support.

Although each of us may serve differently, people around the world who love the people of North Korea are joining together in this mission, and because of that, North Korean escapees are still being rescued today.

It is encouraging to see second-generation Korean Americans actively joining this rescue ministry. We believe God is saving lives, spreading the Gospel, and preparing to move powerfully even within North Korea, which remains like a great prison to so many people.

Please join us in praying for Grace’s safety throughout her climb and that God would be glorified through her journey. Thank you.

❤️Please support the North Korean defectors 🙏🏻

🙏🏻❤️Please pray with us for North Korea ❤️🙏🏻

1. Heavenly Father, please guide and protect Grace throughout her Seven Summits journey, and may every step bring glory to You.

2. Lord, please protect the North Korean escapees and ministry workers involved in rescue missions, and make a safe way for their escape to freedom.

3. Lord, please strengthen the North Korean escapees and missionaries at the Southeast Asia safe house as they grow in faith through Bible study and discipleship.
