Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will always be with you. By your prayers, I was able to carry out many ministries in Los Angeles, and now I am in the Washington, D.C. area. Here, I have been introducing the ministry for North Korea to many churches and sharing about the vision God has given and the work Caleb Mission is called to do. I am deeply grateful for your prayers and humbly ask that you continue to pray for my health as well.

In Korea, the construction of the Caleb Mission Community Center for North Korean escapees has been completed and the permits have been approved. I had hoped to hold the dedication service this year, but due to financial and various other challenges, I was not able to do so and came to the United States instead. Yet I believe this too is God’s will. In fact, next August will mark the 20th anniversary since our mission received government approval and became officially registered. The church will also be celebrating this milestone. Therefore, we would like to invite you to join us in commemorating our 20th anniversary next year. I ask for your prayers as we prepare and plan for this. I hope it will be a wonderful time of fellowship together, with North Korean escapees and with all those who love and support Caleb Mission.

I will remain here until next week and then travel down to North Carolina, where several church gatherings are scheduled. Please pray that every meeting I hold here will be used for the glory of God and for the life and gospel of North Korean escapees.

Today, I am writing this newsletter from a deacon’s home, where I was invited for dinner. Even in a foreign land, I am thankful to be able to serve for the sake of missions. May God’s grace be abundantly with all of you who are faithfully serving and supporting.

As I have often shared, please continue to pray for the desperate hope of North Korean escapees in China—to find a safe way out. Also, please pray for the sisters who are studying the Bible in Southeast Asia and preparing to enter South Korea. Pray for the missionaries and ministry workers who are here, and for my own safety and health as well.

We, too, are continually interceding for you. Your love and sacrificial support truly save lives. Thank you sincerely.

In Christ’s love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, we earnestly lift up North Korea into Your hands, praying for unification through the gospel.

2. God, during the U.S. schedule, please lead us to meet the people You have prepared. Through them, may we rescue North Korean escapees, proclaim the gospel, and raise them up as missionaries. We also pray for Your protection and blessing upon all the workers serving in this ministry.

3. God, we give thanks for those who are serving Your servant with love and devotion during this U.S. tour. Pour out Your grace upon them so that they may live as channels of blessing, walking in the love and grace of God in Christ Jesus.
