Hallelujah! May the God of peace be with each of you.
Through your faithful prayers and many years of partnership, Caleb Mission has been able to rescue countless North Korean escapees. Even now, more North Koreans are in the process of escaping. It has already been 27 years since Caleb Mission began this life-saving work through the prayers of people like you.
Personally, I believe that God has always been with me throughout this dangerous ministry and that your prayers and intercession have played a vital part in saving many lives. Before God, I continually confess my gratitude for His grace, and I also carry deep gratitude in my heart for each of you.
We have faced many difficulties over the years, but there are things in our lives that cannot be explained apart from the grace of God. Perhaps this is what the testimony of a Christian life truly is.
The women who were recently rescued have all endured tremendous hardship. Some of them carry especially heartbreaking stories. They crossed the Tumen and Yalu Rivers not simply to save themselves, but in the hope of keeping their starving families alive. Yet even after reaching China, many of them never experienced a peaceful or secure life.
Some entered marriages they had never chosen, but still tried to remain faithful to their families and care for their children. Even until shortly before their escape, some of these women did not want to leave the families they had in China.
However, after enduring severe violenceโincluding broken bones, torn skin, and repeated abuse over many yearsโthey eventually had no choice but to escape again.
They had already left behind their families in North Korea in an effort to help them survive. Then, in China, although they wanted to care for their families and children despite living in unwanted marriages, the violence and unbearable conditions forced them to flee once more. Their lives have been marked by profound tragedy and repeated loss.
Rescuing women like these and sharing the gospel with them is at the heart of Caleb Missionโs work. This ministry has only been possible through your prayers and faithful partnership, and because of that, many precious lives have been saved.
Please continue praying for the rescue that is currently underway. Pray that these individuals will be given the opportunity to encounter God and place their trust not in the world, but in Him.
Thank you for faithfully praying for Caleb Mission. May Godโs abundant blessing be upon each of you.
In Christโs love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim
