Hallelujah! May the grace and peace of God be with you.

Dear brothers and sisters, Thanks to your faithful prayers, I was able to serve in prison ministry with Prison Alliance USA until last week, and starting today, I am beginning a short time of rest.

Though it’s only twelve days, I ask for your continued prayers that God will accomplish much through this time — not only in the ministry, but also in my heart.

I hope this season will be a precious opportunity to reflect on what God has done and to seek His guidance for the road ahead.

For the past 27 years, I’ve had very little time with my family. This year I turned 60, and I had originally planned to take a short sabbatical in January, but because of ministry responsibilities, it was delayed. Now, at last, I am able to take this time for rest and restoration — and it means a great deal to me.

The past 25 years of frontline ministry have not been easy, but I pray that during this time of rest, the Lord will bring healing and renewal to my soul.

Above all, as we know, North Korea is like one vast prison, and even here in the South there are many behind bars who need hope.

I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with Prison Alliance USA in sharing the gospel and bringing discipleship programs to inmates.

This week, our field workers will begin a North Korean refugee rescue mission. Please pray that every step of their journey will be protected from the enemy’s attacks — that not even one person will be left behind — and that all will reach freedom safely under God’s hand.

Please also continue to pray for our Southeast Asia Center, and for the launch of the North Korean Mission School next year, which we believe will play a key role in preparing for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula through the gospel.

I will return safely and continue to share updates while traveling. Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and faithful partnership. May the Lord bless you richly and fill you with His peace.

In Christ’s love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Pastor Kim Seungeun this time of rest.May he be renewed with strength and grace to serve You even greater in the days ahead.

2. God, may those trapped in the great prison of North Korea, and those behind bars in South Korea, all find true freedom in Jesus Christ.

3. God, please protect the North Korean refugee rescue mission from every attack of the enemy. Let only the glory of Jesus Christ be revealed, and pour out Your grace upon every worker involved.
