Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace is with each of you. Thanks to your prayers, I am enjoying a short but precious time of rest with my family — the first time in 27 years.

I am currently in Vatican City, Rome, beginning an 11-day, 9-night trip. God’s grace has sustained every step of my life and ministry, and I truly believe that I am here today because of the faithful prayers of our beloved members and ministry partners. I kindly ask for your continued prayers so that, until the last day of my life, I may remain faithful to the mission of the gospel and to the calling toward the spiritual reunification of the Korean people.

I had a slight hesitation about taking a trip like this as a ministry worker, but I am deeply grateful to know that this time of rest became possible through the prayers and support of many.

I also want to express my sincere appreciation once again to the supporter in the United States who generously made this rest possible.

Even while I am here, my heart remains with the ministry. Our North Korean sisters who were preparing to leave China continue to face significant challenges. Much of Southeast Asia has become a hub for drug trafficking, and many escape routes now pass through areas connected to the drug trade. Because of intensified border control targeting traffickers, escape routes have become extremely difficult — even for those unrelated to drugs, including North Korean defectors. In China as well, the pressure to arrest North Korean escapees remains very strong.

Yet, in my 27 years of ministry, there has never been a season without challenges. In every circumstance, God has carried us through prayer, and it is because of your prayers and the prayers of many servants of the Lord that we have come this far. I truly believe God will continue to use all of us for His work and for the future gospel reunification of Korea.

Please continue to pray that this trip will be safe and truly refreshing. Thank you.

In Christ’s love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim

2. God, open the way for the rescue of the North Korean escapees in China. Protect them and guide them safely out of danger.

3. God, be with all who pray for and serve with Caleb Mission. May their steps bring glory to You.
