May 2024
Pastor Seungeun Kim visited the Silicon Valley area this May and spent time praying for North Koreans and the revival of the United States.
We are deeply grateful to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and As In Heaven (AIH) Ministries for coming together in prayer for North Korea.
During his visit, Pastor Kim participated in the homeless ministry with the Immanuel Presbyterian Church missionary team. He has always been grateful to the US for supporting South Korea's freedom and aiding in the country's reconstruction after the war. It saddened him to see people living homeless, even in the United States.
In North Korea, people are living in a huge virtual prison, deprived of freedom and the ability to access outside information. They are suffering in one of the darkest places on Earth, but have no knowledge of the God who hears his people’s cries.
We must cry out for them.
It is truly heartbreaking to see the ironic truth: people in North Korea living in poverty and being brainwashed into thinking that they are living in a utopia, while at the same time, homeless people are living in Silicon Valley, an affluent area in a country where everything is plentiful.
We fervently pray for the spread of the gospel in North Korea and for a spiritual awakening in the US. We also pray that today will be a day of Christlike service to those in need!
[Mt 25:35-36, NIV]
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
