Hallelujah. I pray that the God of peace would be with you.

I am currently at Biola University with several pastors, where we are sharing and reflecting on conservative evangelical theology. In this country, which was founded on the faith of the Puritans, we are also taking time to seek God’s grace and wisdom for how we should lead and shepherd our churches moving forward. All of this is made possible through your prayers, and we are truly grateful.

In the coming days, I will be visiting churches across the United States to continue sharing about North Korean missions.

Before that, I would like to share an urgent prayer request with you. Please pray that a new rescue mission will be carried out safely.

We are especially thankful for one recent situation. A North Korean woman who successfully escaped and is now living in South Korea reached out to me with a desperate request—that we would help find her son, who is still in North Korea. When she escaped, her only hope was to one day rescue her child and give him a safe life. However, even after reaching South Korea, she has not been able to bring him out.

She shared that whether she is sleeping, eating, or going about her daily life, she cannot stop thinking about her son. She said that even eating a simple meal, like rice and meat, feels painful to her because her child does not have the same. With tears, she asked for help.

By God’s grace, Caleb Mission was able to locate her son in North Korea, deliver news to him, and send financial support. It cost about $3,000. But what moved me even more was what she told me when she offered this amount.

She said, “Pastor, I am battling cancer right now. I don’t know how much time I have left.

But I cannot stop—because my son is still in North Korea. Even during treatment, I continue to work at a restaurant, saving every dollar I can to send back to him.”

Friends, this is not just one story. Many people are living in similar pain and suffering.

Please pray for this sister that her cancer treatment would go well. If you feel led, we would also be deeply grateful if you would join us in supporting her.

This sister risked her life to escape, yet she continues to live in deep anguish, thinking of her son still in North Korea. For people like her, we pray that we would not turn away, but instead stand together as one in prayer for our brothers and sisters, and continue moving forward together toward the hope of gospel-centered reunification.

Also, please pray for those who are preparing to escape soon that they would be kept safe throughout their journey. Thank you for your prayers.

1. Heavenly Father, we pray that as we walk in obedience to the vision You have given us, You would train us and use us as channels of blessing even in the midst of hardship.

2. Lord, we pray that You would bless the ministry workers serving across Southeast Asia, as well as the North Korean women in need of rescue, and lead them to victory in the gospel.

3. Lord, we pray that the North Korean women in discipleship training, along with the missionaries who are training them, would be united as one to fulfill the mission of the gospel and live lives that bring glory to You.
