Hallelujah! I pray that the peace of God is with you.

As summer begins and students prepare for their break, I want to thank you for your continued prayers for North Korean rescue and Gospel ministry.

June is a month of remembrance in Korea. We remember the Korean War and honor those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom we enjoy today. During my recent trip to the United States, I had the opportunity to pay my respects to veterans who served during the Korean War.

Though it was a small gesture, I wanted to express my gratitude to those who shed their blood and gave their lives for Korea and for freedom.

Freedom is never free. It comes through sacrifice, tears, and courageโ€”not only from those who serve, but also from the families who bear the cost of that sacrifice. As Koreans, we remain deeply grateful to the veterans from the United States and many other nations who stood with Korea during the war, as well as to their families. The freedom we enjoy today is possible because of their sacrifice.

Just as freedom was not easily won, North Korean escapees also endure tremendous suffering in their search for freedom. Many risk everything to cross the border into China, and even after reaching South Korea, they often face difficult challenges as they rebuild their lives.

This is why Caleb Mission remains committed to sharing both the Gospel and practical help with North Korean escapees.

By God's grace, we continue our rescue ministry. One of my greatest joys is seeing those who have already been rescued growing faithfully in their walk with Christ. There is no greater encouragement than witnessing transformed lives.

Behind every rescue are faithful missionaries and ministry workers who labor, pray, and sacrifice. Please continue praying for them as they serve those who are hurting and vulnerable.

There are still many North Koreans waiting for rescue. Recently, I met a woman whose family lost twelve relatives to starvation during North Korea's famine. Only three family members survived, and one later died as well. After thirty years, she miraculously discovered that her younger sister was still alive in China and desperately needs help reaching freedom. She came to us asking if we could help rescue her sister.

Stories like this remind us why this ministry matters. In the name of Jesus, we continue to pray, rescue, and share the Gospel. Our goal is not only to help North Korean escapees find freedom, but also to see them become future leaders, missionaries, and witnesses for Christ.

Thank you for standing with Caleb Mission through your prayers and partnership. We also pray that God's blessings will be upon your family, your work, and all that He has entrusted to you.

Please continue to pray for the North Korean escapees waiting for rescue, for the spread of the Gospel throughout North Korea, and for the missionaries, staff, partners, and supporters who make this ministry possible.

May God bless you and keep you healthy during this summer season. Thank you.

In Christ's love and service,

Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, we pray for the North Korean escapees who are trapped in China. Please open the doors for their rescue and lead them safely into freedom.

2. Lord, we pray that the Gospel would spread throughout North Korea and that this land would be transformed from a place of oppression into a place filled with Your hope, blessing, and truth.

3. Lord, we pray for Caleb Mission's supporters, missionaries, staff, and ministry partners. Please bless their families, their work, and their ministries, and continue to use them as channels of Your grace and provision.
