Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will be with each of you.
Thanks to your prayers and intercession, I was able to spend a precious 11-day rest with my family ā something I had never experienced since beginning ministry. I just arrived back in Korea, stopped by the church to pray, and wanted to share this update with you right away.
This truly was a special time for me and my family, and I am deeply grateful. Everything has been the grace of God, and I thank you sincerely for your faithful prayers.
Throughout this trip, I was filled with gratitude and reminded of many things. It was certainly a time of rest, but in many ways, it also felt like an extension of ministry. It seems that once God calls someone into ministry, that calling goes with them wherever they go.
Before anything else, I want to share some wonderful news.
Despite the tightened border controls, the Lord opened a door ā and during my time away, He enabled us to rescue five North Korean sisters and bring them safely through both borders. By Godās grace, I was able to oversee and direct the rescue efforts with the wisdom He supplied at every step.
As a result, five North Korean women safely crossed both the Chinese border and the third-country border and arrived at our Southeast Asia Center. Praise God!
Each of these women carries a painful and complicated story. All of them escaped starvation in North Korea, were trafficked in China, forced into marriage, and became mothers under those circumstances. And for the sake of their children, they once again risked their lives to flee. When they finally made it to safety, they wept with gratitude.
My deepest thanks to the supporter in the United States who made it possible for me to take this time of rest, and to everyone who prayed and supported the rescue of these precious sisters. Your partnership in this ministry is truly invaluable.
Caleb Mission will continue its work of rescuing North Korean escapees. Please pray that our Southeast Asia Center will continue to be used by God in an even greater way. As we approach Christmas ā the season when Jesus came to save us ā may we also become people who extend that same grace to save lives.
As I transition back into ministry and prepare to finish the year, I look forward to continuing the work together with you. Please remember us in your prayers ā the sisters who are preparing to escape, and the next generation of North Korean refugees at both our Southeast Asia Center and our center here in Korea.
Thank you, and God bless you.
In Christās love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim
