Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will be with you. Hope you all had a wonderful Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) holiday!
By God’s grace, I’m spending the last part of my ministry trip here in the United States. I am currently in Atlanta, Georgia, where I’ve had the honor of sharing about God’s work through the North Korea ministry at Korean United Presbyterian Church, Peaceland Church, and the Reunification Prayer Gathering. In both large and small churches, I met many people of prayer and experienced God’s grace being shared among us.
I was deeply moved by the passion of the Korean diaspora for North Korean missions.
Many believers demonstrated genuine interest and heartfelt compassion for the people of North Korea. Together, we are praying that the wave of spiritual revival rising in South Korea will open the doors of the North and that the gospel will continue to advance all the way to Israel.
Above all, these past two months of ministry in the United States have been nothing short of God’s grace—made possible through your faithful prayers and partnership. Once again, I want to express my deepest gratitude for standing with us in prayer.
Please continue to pray for the safety of the North Korean escapees hiding in China. The 4th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party will be held from October 21 to 23. Crackdowns usually intensify during this time, so please pray for the safety of the North Korean escapees in hiding. Many of them are living in fear and have reached out to me personally.
By God’s grace, we currently have enough funding to continue rescue operations through the end of this year.
However, in October, we will begin reorganizing one of our safe houses in Southeast Asia.
The safe house requires about $10,000 each month. While that is a significant need, I believe that as God’s people pray and give together, He will provide everything necessary.
While it would be possible to use the rescue funds to cover the safe house expenses, we are committed to keeping those funds dedicated solely to rescuing the lives of North Korean escapees. Therefore, I sincerely ask for your continued prayers and support so that the Southeast Asia Center may continue to bring the gospel to those in need.
Dear brothers and sisters, I trust that you have rested well during the Chuseok holiday and that God’s grace has filled your hearts. As we enter the last quarter of the year, let us finish strong in prayer— and I bless all the prayer warriors of Caleb Mission who continue to stand faithfully on the frontlines of intercession.
Thank you, and may the Lord bless you abundantly.
In Christ’s love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim
