Hallelujah! I pray that the peace of God will be with each one of you.
I am currently visiting Washington Heights Church here in Utah. By Godās grace and through your prayers, Caleb Mission has faithfully carried out our ministry this year. As we now approach the close of the year, God has opened the door for me to share about North Korea here with this church.
One of the most touching moments during my visit was joining the church in packing 275,000 meals for children in Kenya and other regions in need. Seeing the church work together to save lives and share the gospel deeply moved me. It also stirred in me a desire to see churches in Korea continue to grow into this kind of global, missional communityājust as churches here in the U.S. demonstrate.
Even here, on the other side of the world, I met so many believers who pray earnestly for North Korean souls and who have deep compassion for the North Korean escapees suffering in China. Their hearts to partner with us carry a very special meaning for me. Washington Heights Church, in particular, has stood with us in rescuing escapees and sharing the gospel with them. Through the Beyond Utopia screening this week, weāve experienced tremendous grace together.
Just as Scripture teaches that ābrothers dwelling together in unityā is a blessing, this week reminded me again that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, no matter our nation or language.
I truly believe that your prayers are saving lives and advancing the gospel. I will return to Korea soon to finish the year together with you, but I ask that you continue to pray.
Right now, escapees inside China are facing extremely difficult conditions as they attempt to escape. Please pray that, by Godās grace, they will make it out safely, that they will encounter the gospel at our Southeast Asia safe house, and that they will be raised up as future leaders for the ministry to North Korea. Thank you always for your prayers and faithful support.
In Christās love and service,Pastor Seungeun Kim
