Caleb Mission extends our gratitude to their Korean War veterans and their families from sixteen countries.

갈렙선교회

71 years ago today, on July 27, 1953, the Korean War, a tragic conflict between two halves of one nation, ceased fire with an armistice agreement.

Despite being one country for 5,000 years, today the Korean people remain divided into North and South, and those in the North continue to endure severe human rights violations under a dictatorship.

We hope for a swift end to this war and for the unification of the Korean Peninsula through the gospel.

On this day, we aim to educate and unite the next generation of Korean Americans, who will lead the future. Through Pastor Kim’s education and events (like the Unification Quiz competition) we hope to ensure their accurate understanding of Korea’s history and reunification.

During Pastor Seungeun Kim's visit to the US in May, we had the honor of screening "Beyond Utopia" for Korean War veterans living in California and presenting them with medals of appreciation and peace.

We are deeply thankful to all the veterans and their families who fought to protect South Korea’s freedom. Without your sacrifice, South Korea would not exist today. And without South Korea, there would be no welcoming place for North Korean defectors. To honor your love and sacrifice, we will do our best to help those who still suffer today.

Pastor Kim was also honored for his 24 years of service to the North Korean people with a certificate of appreciation, presented by Senator Dave Min, Councilmember Tammy Kim, Mayor Fred Jung, and Councilmember Joyce Ahn. It was a great honor to receive these certificates!

We thank the Korean American Women’s Society, the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, and the Orange San Diego chapter for organizing the event. We also appreciate Ms. Angel of Irvine's selfless service to North Korean defectors and Korean War veterans.

Caleb Mission and the Korean American Women's Society extend our gratitude to their Korean War veterans and their families from sixteen countries: the United States, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Thailand, South Africa, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Colombia, Türkiye, and Greece.
