Caleb Mission Newsletter ๐ The Fourth Week of October
Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will be with each and every one of you!
It has been an incredibly busy week for me. Along with attending meetings and fulfilling responsibilities within my presbytery, I also visited Hanawon, South Koreaโs government-run resettlement center, where I met North Korean escapees recently rescued by Caleb Mission who are now preparing for their new lives in freedom.
Today, I am also spending time with North Korean escapees who have settled into our church community. We are visiting the Yesan Festival, a local autumn celebration known for its beautiful chrysanthemums and seasonal festivities.
My heartfelt prayer is that, as they enjoy the beauty of these autumn flowers, they will experience moments of comfort, peace, and healing.
I also pray that your families will be filled with God's peace and blessings as we approach the end of another year.
Very soon, another group of North Korean escapees will depart from our ministry center in Southeast Asia and make their way to South Korea. After being rescued, they spent the past three months studying the Bible, learning about Jesus Christ, and receiving discipleship training.
Please continue to pray earnestly for them. May the faith they have begun to develop remain strong as they settle into South Korea, and may God raise them up as future leaders who will one day help bring the Gospel to North Korea.
On October 21, Caleb Mission signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GOODTV, a Christian television network in South Korea. Through this partnership, Caleb Mission and GOODTV will work together to expand Gospel outreach and ministry focused on North Korea. The documentary Beyond Utopiaย is also scheduled to be broadcast on GOODTV.
I give all glory to God for opening these doors and bringing ministry partners together for His Kingdom!
Please pray that God will use Beyond Utopia to touch many hearts and open even more doors for sharing the Gospel with the people of North Korea.
I also ask for your prayers for our upcoming ministry opportunities in New Zealand. May God guide every step, anoint every opportunity, and allow Jesus Christ alone to be glorified through everything we do.
There have also been many wonderful changes at our community center in Cheonan, South Korea.
We have chestnut trees growing on the property, and this season we harvested several large
sacks of chestnuts. Our sheep are also doing well! Before leaving for today's trip, I visited our vegetable garden and saw approximately 2,000 heads of napa cabbage growing beautifully. They looked so healthy and full of life!
There is an old Korean saying: "The land never lies.โ
When seeds are planted and faithfully cared for, the land eventually produces a harvest.
I believe the same is true of God's ministry.
As we faithfully pray and intercede, I trust that God hears our prayers and continues to work, bringing forth fruit in His perfect timing.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, please continue to keep North Korea in your hearts and prayers.
There are still approximately 25 million precious souls living in North Korea, many of whom desperately need freedom, hope, and the love of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, love, and partnership in this ministry.
May God continue to bless each one of you.
In Christโs love,Pastor Seungeun Kim
